GT is by default always better then GS. They usually have a bit more speed on GPU or mem and some more pipelines. The difference is not always that big, but if the price difference is very small, get the GT. Just to give you an idea, you can compare the cards hereDirkVDV01
oh I guess there is a big difference. Is the one I listed still a relatively good card?
The 7900GT has a slightly faster core, and more texture units (24) to the 7900GS's 20 Texture unitsfrost_mourne13how big of a difference in-game is that fps wise?

It's a good one.Between a stock GT and GS? not much. The overclocked Extreme Edition card that you linked is going to be faster than a (stock) GTfrost_mourne13
thanks everyone for the help one question though how would that card run games like oblivion, morrowind, and hl2 lost coast. (assuming it's paired with a pentium d @ 3 ghz, and 2 gb of geil gaming ram)Â
I've ran Oblivion and HL2:LC with medium settings on a 7800GS, the one you linked is even better then what I used, so it would be med-high for you. Morrowind can even be played nicely on a 6600GT, so that shouldn't be a problem at all.DirkVDV01thanks everyone and happy gaming!
