Most modern games have support for both MSAA nd FSAA. Could someone please let me know the difference between thewse two anti-alising methods, and whoch of these provides better performance rather than better image quality?

I think it's the other way around actually, doesn't FSAA refer to super sampling?FSAA better performance. MSAA better quality

I don't know for sure. I do know that every game I've played that offers MSAA, turning on the MSAA tanks my performance faster than anything else.

Most modern games dont have FSAA. It was one of the first techniques for AA developed and one of the most inefficient methods too.
Several moderns games typically have either MSAA or FXAA. MSAA provides better results but is fairly computtional as it renders some parts in a higher resolution and then shrinks it down to your desired resolution. FXAA detects the edges of polygons and then blurs them with pixel shaders. FXAA costs very little performance to provide so-so antialiasing quality.

Thank you. This is exactly the answer I needed. I got confused between FSAA and FXAA, and thought they were the same.
