i will be going to buy myself a new lcd...so i just wanted to know the diference so that i could buy the rite lcd. is there any noticable difference between 720p and 1080p.dmn_fox
720p is 1280x720, and 1080p is 1980x1080. I'd say there is a pretty big difference. Are you sure you are talking LCD monitors for computers, or tvs? Because its TVs that are usually referred to in terms of 720 and 1080, and many LCD TV that are ADVERTISED as 720 or 1080 dont actually support you connecting a computer to them and using them at that resolution. On the other hand, if you get a computer LCD monitor rated at 1920x1080 or 1280x720 (or anything in between), then obviously it will be compatible with a comptuer - the 8800 can drive any of these resolutions, up to 2560x1600, with no problems.
