Would it be possible that say a driver update or something would make an Nvidia GeForce GX2, Compatable with DX10? Because this is a REALLY powerful card(s). Im just wondering, because I dont think it supports DX10 out of the box, and there is nothing really about it. please help >

impossible, even if nvidia can do it, but they wont do it.

DX9 cards are DX9 cards only, same goes to DX10 cards. A DX9 card cannot be compatible with DX10 no matter what you do.

my wallet is starting to hurt with all this constant upgrading....maybe the console fanboys had it right all along :o

If you have a GX2 card, you don't need to worry for the next few years. The handful directx 10 games that's going to be released is not worth a directx 10 card yet. Your card will be more than capable of handling them in directx 9.
