directX 10 question

hi i was just wondering since i have a NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE 512Mb if i will benefit from directx 10 or will i be uneffected.

do i have to buy an 8 series? or is my card compatible? will my performance change at all?

You need a DX 10 Card. DX10 only benefits the Nvidia 8 series or the ATI 2900 Series.

so dx 10 will not change anything when i get vista until i change my card?

Cards that are not built for DX10, like yours, will gain a small benefit from DX 10 games anyways, as some of the changes and optimizations are for all video cards. But dont expect anything major.

If DX 10 is the only reason you plan to upgrade, you're better off holding on to your money for now. You dont need a DX10 video card to run Vista if you were wondering.
