Too bad DX10 is only for Vista, so I won't be seeing it any time soon.  Not until they get all the bugs out.

Do you have specific bug in mind or you say that to look smart, i haven't seen many bugs and certainly not one so big that might warren't not getting it just for that.

Price, Overhead, DRM(even though they kinda don't work), WGA are reasons not to get vista, but bugs is not, or maybe it's just me since i have a flawless experience up to now

They'll never get *ALL* the bugs out, just the major ones with time,

Especially the water looks way better in DX10. But still not enough to make me get a new PC.

Wow...  alot of hurt egos on today.  Yeah, I would call the S-PDIF passthrough bug a major one.  The inability to run digital audio is a major one for those of us that use our systems as our home theatres as well.

That's an audio driver issue but sucks nonetheless, but hey, at least you have a valuable reason

Dx 10 is the ONLY reason to get vista, and so far its not that big of a reason, dx9 games still looks awesome,

The reason that im not going over to vista is simple, it dosnt run current and old games better then xp, i mean everywhere i look on forums people create a new topic about a game that works perfectly on xp but not on vista, seriously why in the hell would you want a system that runs your stuff worse? Just because of some minor graphical updates.

Many of the things you wanna install on vista that you normally did without a problem on xp requires you to do it as an admin, i mean WTF, thats just a small example but things should just run without any single problem.

So untill they fix vista so it will run as good as xp then im staying with xp. I choose performance over graphics anyday.

I have Vista and no major problems.... I did a full install though and not just the upgrade. Have only had a few video driver issues. You do need the hardware to run it and yes DX10 is going to be awesome. I have been playing around with the Nvidia DX10 Cascade demo on Nzone and its pretty cool.

I wish they would make it easier on me and put the time it takes to render each picture.

Yeah.... Too bad with those OLD compairison pictures from like last year: 1. The general forest models and textures are horrible for the first two shots compaired to what people are doing right now in DX9 games. Pretty much teh only difference between the two is that one has lightbeams, which technically are possible in DX9 (mabey not dynamic ones though without a bunch of loopholes). 2. The second compairision looks fantastic. Too bad its already been confirmed to be an artist's rendition, not the actual thing. AKA if you want to get REAL DX10 footage, check out some of the Nvidia tech demoes, and look at Crisis. There isnt a real good DX9 + DX10 compairison in exsistance yet.
