It seems to have gone back to its strictly rally roots. I'm downloading it now and I will post back later with my first impressions.

Credit to them for giving it a reasonable (cheaper price) rather than using early access as an excuse for a price hike.
I think they are definately going in the right direction with this game. Can't wait to give it a try!
From what I have read about this game, if it is a Rally simulator then I am really interested to play this game. I really enjoy the older WRC games and Colin McRae Rally games. Hopefully this is a sign Codemasters will get the WRC license, I would love to try all the real tracks with a simulation rally game. Hopefully this will do well for Codemasters. I will see about getting it when I have seen more of the game, with it being early access I tend to avoid them until full release but this one could tempt me sooner.
Does this play anything like dirt 2, or more like dirt 3,..or more like old colin mcrae stuff. Cause I love dirt 2 the most, but didnt like 3 and didn't play the oldies enough.
@Garfield360UK: @Bikouchu35: It reminds me more of McRae then DiRT. It's quite a bit harder and more rally focused than DiRT 2 and 3, no Gymkhana garbage. There's also no dudebro stuff - Ken Block and Travis yelling "Totally awesome race brah, gnarly job!!!" every 2 minutes. I dig it but it's a bit bare-bones now. Get now if you're a big fan of rally racing otherwise you can wait for a few updates/patches.

"Brah why don't you upload those clips to youtube, ur fans will luv it"
After every race event in dirt3...
@saintsatan:
Sounds good. I must admit, I was very disappointed when I picked McLovin as my driver audio name and the game did not shout it out. I wanted a Superbad "Yeaaaaah, McLovin" moment but ah well.
It sounds really good and the footage Gamespot have posted makes the game look impressive. I may give it a go at some point although I am concerned about buying it in Early Access stage as I may get tired of it when it actually releases and has all the features included.
