disableing one core

Ok so i would like to know how to disable one core on my computer. If its simple you could just tell me how here, but if its complicated, i would like a link to a guide that explains how. Thanks in advance.

I don't think it is possible, I mean, why would someone want to disable one core?

You can set a single core to run a program if you want to.

you can use processor affinity to set up which cores run which programs. as far as totally disabling a core i wouldnt reccomend or even attempt to try that. you'd probably end up breaking your processor in the long run. if you really were adamant about turning one core off the go into your task manager, right click on any process thats running and choose "set affinity". then uncheck the core you dont want running that process. you'd have to do this for every process, and for every new process that was ran you would have to set the affinity for that as well. but as i said before, i do not reccomend this.
