Dishonored will not launch

dishonred launches from steam to a black screen that is it. beta and regular drivers for my gtx 680s same problem.  this also leads to blue screen, then crashing, can not read the blue screen messages happens to fast.  any suggestions, i wonder of if the new dlc is causing this problem

yes i ran the Verify integrity of game cache, said it was ok, and uninstalled and reinstalled still same problem
