I have my ps2 hooked up to a cheap lcd hdtv, it must have a terrible scaler because ps2 looks bad on it. My question is, should I drag a huge tube tv into the house or should I use a good vga box on my pc monitor? Anyone have experience with this problem? Thanks for any help.

eww tube tv?? lol. i never use a tube tv for games, or anything. if u need to save money id just buy a vga box (provided that your PC monitor is good quality). If not, then id just buy a new lcd.. a good quality one like samsung or sony.

Tube tv eh? As long as its not a tube HDTV. Sure, they do have the best blacks, hands down. BUT!!! They have some of the worst actualy picture quality. More liable to having problems. I have owned 2 tube hdtvs, one 28" and the other 30", and they had similar problems from 2 completely different companys.

The ps2s multiout port for some reason does look bad when used with component. The ps3 really helps the ps2 games as far as picture quality is concerned. It can scale it for starters, and its multi-out is MUCH better on the ps3. *and then you have the hdmi as well*
