I was thinking about getting this game too, but I am still in doubt... Ego Draconis didn't get amazing reviews.
Can you list some of the good and the bad perhaps?
I also noticed Ego Draconis scored pretty low, but the Dragon Knight Saga release has been getting some decent reviews which sparked my interest...I was thinking about getting this game too, but I am still in doubt... Ego Draconis didn't get amazing reviews.

I enjoyed Divinity2 personally.
Yes it has some issues, and it will be pretty hard game for alot of people, but in the end I enjoyed my time spent with it.
Divine Divinity (1st in the series) is better and one of hte best rpgs ever imo.
Part2 is still fun though (:
I have not tried this new Dragon Knight Saga yet though.
Dont let reviews change your mind about tryign a game, I find that some of my favorite games are ones that got average reviews.
If you dont mind a bit of complexity, try Divinity2 Ego Draconis+Flames of Venegance.
If you like games lighter on loot and combat pick the Dragon Knight saga.
It`s the same story but Ego Draconis was harder, required more atention to leveling and more inventory managment. There are parts in the Dragon Knight Saga that are completly differnt, meaning the levels from Ego Draconis.
You might want ro read the official forums to remove the 30 frames cap,and make your FOV the way you prefer it.
i didn't even know about the 30 FPS cap. thanks for the heads upIf you dont mind a bit of complexity, try Divinity2 Ego Draconis+Flames of Venegance.

I am on the fence and in a way I kinda feel cheated that I got Divinity 2: Ego Draconis - a good, unusually cute (in a silly way) underlying game with interesting sidequests and a wide range of flexible skills that is muddled with general issues, awkward combat and various oddities; I submitted at Orobas Fjords or however you spell it. what does re-mastered mean exactly? I kinda want to know if giving it a second chance is worth a shot...illmatic87
I got both,so this is just my view,if it helps:
The fortresses are less complicated,if building your character wrong in DE they were a nightmare, now they are simpler, what I seen is that the enemies are not as tough as in DE and not so many.
It includes the Flames of Vengance Add-on,but there is less loot in the base game.Generaly the difficulty is reduced,it`s polished from the technical aspect, but I had no problems with the game, I mean Ego Draconis at version 1.0.The proper word would be probably be streamlined.
So the Dragon Knight saga feels faster and easier. If you liked the first one,you might get just the add-on.It`s long and fun.
