How did this game go unnoticed? Perhaps it is due to it essentially being a remastered version of Divinity II: Ego Draconis with the inclusion of its espansion. The original Divinity II: Ego Draconis had potential but lacked a few layers of polish. I played the game only a short while before losing interest.
The Dragon Knight Saga, however, is REALLY DAMN GOOD! I don't mean, "good for a game that isn't Skyrim," or "good for a game that didn't get reviewed on Gamespot." I mean it's one of the five best games I have played in 10 years. It is balanced well, has superb game-play twists and trappings to keep it interesting, This "remastering" is sincere. A complete balance overhaul, several additions and changes in quests, locations, items, pacing, and more amalgamate a completely different and much better game than Ego Draconis.
I like this game better than Oblivion, The Witcher, or Dragon Age I and 2. It has an awesome factor on par with a game like Demon's Souls (even though it has little in common with it). If you own a reasonable PC and like open-world action RPGs (with some tactical elements), you need to buy this game. It's ~100 hours of incredible.
