Nice to know that GS didn't completely forget about the PC.

MGS 4 my ass! Wait till you see Stalker:ClearSky and CrysisWarhead then we'll talk nicely
I doubt either of those games will come close to being 20 hours long. MGS 4 on Normal took me just under 23 hours (in gameplay not including cutscenes which equals over 30 hours when you throw in cutscenes).

crysiswarhead definitely below 20hrs, but i doubt stalkerclearsky is that short, maybe 30+hrs of gameplay lots of side missions and lots of replay value there, and that's not counting the mods that the community will create, don't get me wrong i love the MGS especially portable ops but for me PC action games has more substance, but that's just me, and forgive me if i sounded rude on my previous post, just got annoyed by flailing MGS4 on a DMC4 thread

HAH! You have to be kidding. Play STALKER before you say that.
Does anyone else get the impression GameSpot has some sort of bias against PC?
Yet again we have a game that looks, runs and has more in it than the console version; yet they give it the exact same score.
Why do they always completely ignore the perks that are exclusive to the PC version?

Funny how you say that like it's a good thing.

Don't sweat it, the score anyway. FWIW, the IGN review scored DMC4 lower than the consoles, yet headlined the review with "The PC version also happens to be the best" :D
This is the PC we're talking about.

Theres been speculation for a long time. Oblivion on X360 and PS 3 recieved a higher score then the PC, yet it was the exact same game.
This is the major disadvantage when it comes to gamespots new rating system its been using for the past year. Its not accurate enough and it seems to mislead people to believe is better or worse then it was rated by gamespot. So Gamespot have to give DMC 4 8.0 rating or a 7.5 rating would make people assume its a terrible game compared to the console versions.
It looks better, plays better, runs better...
But it is still a very simple and repetitive game... especially for PC standards. So I agree with the review.

Only people don't consider platform standards when judging a game, they will be comparing the same game on all three platforms; and the score tells them the PC version is no better than the console versions.
Why would someone mention MGS4 along with DMC4, they are totally different genres.iNF3RNO666
Well a fanboy's gotta mention it's favourite game next to another one that is very popular :| yet they have nothing in common.

What are you doing on the PC boards?

Devil May Cry was a high profile PlayStation game and now it is not only on their competitors console; but also on PC. So instead they bring up a different game and hold it to be better; most likely attempting to negate the loss of DMC exclusivity in their eyes. By showing what they feel to be a better title that is still exclusive to PS3; and expressing that it is a better game, the loss of the DMC series seems less significant to them.
It is a form of self reassurance basically.

DMC has nothing on God of War.

lol. I was about to write that, and then I thought, "JP_Russell probably responded to this", and sure enough you did! :P
nVidiaGaMer is an obvious troll. He's been around for a while and nobody really pays him much attention. He seems to spew out crap. I think he's thinker tbh.
And it looks like a fun game. I might try it out I played the others, think I will need to get a gamepad though. It's about time I got one. Might buy a cheap 360 wired one. That way I can use it for my 360 and PC.

What does that have to do with anything..?
