Can anyone tell me how much the monthly fee for this game is? Gamestop didn't know, it didn't say it on the box. I went to their website and it doesn't list a price. I kinda got fed up after that and didn't search someone's individual site.

So if anyone here plays it, or knows where to find a monthly fee for this game, can you please help me out. I actually would like to play an MMO and if it's going to be any MMO, well it's definately going to be a DnD one. It didn't look like the greatest game, but it's DnD so it gives it some plus points right there in my book.

From www.turbine.fuzeqna.com/ddo.support/consumer/kbdetail.asp?kbid=1001

How much does Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach cost?

Dungeons and Dragons Online is available at a suggested retail price of $29.95 and includes thirty days of subscription time. After the first month, players will be charged a monthly subscription fee of $14.99 per month.

Players can purchase multiple months of subscription time in advance at a discounted rate.*

  • Purchase a three month subscription for a one-time fee of $41.85 (equivalent to $13.95 per month).
  • Purchase a six month subscription for a one-time fee of $77.70 (equivalent to 12.95 per month).
  • Purchase a one year subscription for a one-time fee of $143.40 (equivalent to $11.95 per month).

*All subscription plans will automatically renew and the subscription rate and any applicable taxes will be charged in advance. All subscription payments are non-refundable. Subscription prices are in U.S. dollars and do not include local connection and telephone charges.

Hope that helps :D

Ive played stormreach for a while, to be honest, i dont think its worth the fee any more, Better of buying something like Neverwinter Nights 2 and joining a guild online.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I really never got into MMo's due to the monthly fee's. I mean sure, they are great games and sometimes worth the monthly fee. But with all the other games that I enjoy playing that are free, I don't forsee myself acctually justifying the monthly fee cost as I won't be playing it as much. And also, I've never really been into PvP all that much, I'm more of a quest type person with puzzles to figure out and things like that and just going out and adventuring to see what special hidden places I can find.

I believe I wll stay away from monthly fee MMO's for right now, especially Stormreach. I mean, it is DnD and I am a huge fan of TSR, but from what I've seen in the graphics and gameplay I don't think $14.99 is a reasonable amount to pay for a monthly fee.

$15 really isn't a lot when you DO find an MMO that you feel is worth it. You won't play any other game for months :P

That said, DDO isn't a bad game, and from what I hear the monthly fee is more worth it than ever since it's been out a while and has developed more content.

T hat's just it. I don't really see myself spending much time on it a fist. And who knows, probablya long time to come. That is of course unelss I meet a few people that I can go adventuring with or become part of an active guild that is always out and about doing something.

Download the demo and play for 10 days free. You'll get your fix and see how much the game is really worth to you. I enjoy it alot becuase it has a different feel than most MMO's do because of the strong group effort, but I still debate paying for a subscription. I have a feeling this game will become a free to play in the near future, though, due to the lack of players.

Problem with stormreach is that is completely quest based and levelling without a group is nigh impossible, not good for new players, as all the hardcore players are doing end game and not lvling new characters.

Yup. Monthly fees make you save money :D

I haven't played DDO since the beta, but I've heard that it's a lot better now.

they made solo content now due to thate xact reason, easier to just hop on and do a quest and elave instead of waiting for a group, idk when the last time you played is, its pretty old update i think, i only played for the first month of release

You can solo any mission, and some levels are made specifically for soloing, but that seems to just be in the lower levels. Once you hit about level 3 missions, it starts to get near impossible to solo, especially depending on your class.

I love to play rogues in this game, but soloing can be extremely hard with this class. I also made a dwarf fighter just for the purpose to see how far I could go on my own, and a fighter is by far the best class to solo with and with a dwarf you get racial spot bonuses too, so you can hit up secret areas for better loot, if your good enough with the skill.

Some people really look down on this game because of the non-solo friendly quests, but isn't DnD about adventuring with a group? I think Turbine did a realyl good job of keeping the DnD feel alive with this game. It's nice to get into a group where everyone knows their role and gets the job done, even on elite difficulty. You don't miss out on any loot in hidden areas this way, and you can take out bosses which gets you more XP and sweet loot.
