Not to long from now I will be upgrading to Vista. I want to buy the OEM version from newegg so I can save some $$$ but I'm not sure which one. I don't know if I should get the 32 or 64-bit version because I don't know which one my processor is. I think I have a 64-bit because I have an AMD 64 Processor. Does the 64 mean I have a 64-bit processor? I just wanted to verify this because I don't want to spend $200 on the wrong version of  Vista.

There are loads of arguments to which edition of Vista to be going for - 32 or 64 bit. IMO, 64-bit is not showing a lot of advantages at the moment, but you might as well go 64-bit Vista for future proofing. I'm not sure if all apps will work though.

In the future, for a game to be windows gaming certified, it must be 64bit compatible - if that clears anything up. Also, if you buy the retail version of Vista (any vers) it includes both 32bit and 64bit copies.
