My new computer parts are just about to arrive this weekend, thanks to a bunch of delays, but I was looking around, and I saw that some people installed processor coolers in their motherboards? Is that necessary, cause I have ordered one of the Intel P67 Motherboards. Also, do I need any additional information about building computers, as this will be my first time building a computer this weekend, and I'm a bit nervous to be honest. I'm afraid I might do something wrong or break it. Thanks!

yes you will need a processor cooler, generally they're called heatsink...if you bought a retail processor, it alrdy comes with a heatsink but if you bought an oem, you will have to buy a heatsink

You will only need an aftermarket heatsink if you plan on overclocking, otherwise the stock heatsink is fine on all current cpu's at stock speeds. If you bought a p67 mobo I assume you got a 2500k and plan on overclocking, in which case, yes you should get an aftermarket heatsink. Cooler master hyper 212+ and Xigmatek Gaia are reasonable options.

I really don't know much about heatsinks and whatnot as you can tell, but I found one on Amazon here. Is this a good one? And will I also need thermal paste with it? Thanks again! http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-Hyper-Sleeve-RR-B10-212P-G1/dp/B002G1YPH0/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1311889719&sr=1-3
