I mean just go to BestBuy.com and you will see all these bizzare deals, where a 2 year old card costs a leg, while there are great deals on great cards, Circuit City has core clock and memory switched up on some cards, old 8800GTS is over 400$ while the 260GTX is priced at a good 329$, then you got a 6200OC at 110$, and 3850 right there at 120$, I mean seriously who prices these things, its just ridiculous, I dont buy stuff there anyways but from time to time I check some deals out if they have anything, looks like someone needs to be fired.

Those deals are good for a store but not really that great. You can buy the GTX260 online for $299 which doesn't include a $30 rebate and the HD3850 $99 without a $20 rebate. Either way $110 for a 6200 is pretty fun. Everytime I go to bestbuy I always check them out and see how overprice they are, like when the 8600GT came out they had it for like $30-$40 less than the 8800GTS 320mb :|

I know its overpriced at 329 but I mean it is overclocked, and you dont have to worry about shipping, and you dont have to wait, so its actually decent price for a store.

Its not really that great when most cards online have a free game and free shipping. I just check one site and $269 probaly isn't even the cheapest out there.

radioshack was clearancing out their thermaltake stuff a couple weeks ago, i got two 600 watt psu's for $40 each. Not bad. but the majority of the stuff is messed up. My econ teacher used to work at bestbuy headquarters(its right here in minnesota) and told us how they took printer cable prices from $10 to $60 in a couple months. People were still willing to pay for it. Just ridiculius, he quit apparantly because everyone there was dbags.

they don't have a clue what the cards are worth, I had a big laugh a few years or ago when I saw 5200 2x the price of a 6600gt.

i think it would be really funny to go into noel leeming one day and see how much they are and then tell the sales person I can get a better card for half the price 100m down the road and see what he says

I dont mean to sound like a jerk, but it's retail bro. No offence. They have to make their crummy profits or else their store will crumble. Only uninformed shoppers would shop there. Online is the way to go for the best deals on just about everything, not only in PC Hardware and gaming.
