Do people still play Guild Wars?

I've played Nightfall in the past before and it seemed pretty fun to me but I just stopped playing it, i forgot why.

I'm thinking of picking it up again but i'm not sure if there are still people who play it, and if I am to get this game, which one should i get? Im thinking of getting Prophecies Game of the Year edition for $30 , or should i get the platinum version for $55?

And since GW2 is coming out this year or the next, is it even worth getting into now? Or should i just wait for GW2?

Things you do in Guild Wars, more specifically in Eye of The North, carry over and/or wll give you bonuses for GW2. They havent announced what exactly, though.

I think so, only because there is no actual release date for GW2 annonuced yet. I think it might be ready by Late 2008, but probably early 2009 or sometime in 2009. Only think for sure is that the beta testing for GW2 begins in 2008.

Guild Wars is a great game, give it a go.
