Do people still play L4D ?

So here im thinking. I have slow internet connection so it takes long to download the game. How is l4d community ? I mean , how are the numbers of ppl still playing and how are ppl themselves ? All my friends moved to l4d2 after its release (i , myself, didnt play it after l4d2 release too) so i would need to play with random ppl.

That game is soo much fun , but im a bit cautious about random games :/

Just beware though: the l4d2 community is a mixed bag of people. Its like a show bag when you have a random team. You never know what you're going to get! biggest_loser

I said that i was playing l4d2 from its release (after 200+ i got a bit bored) and i thought to go back to l4d for a while , just dont know if its worth it.

buy l4d2 most migrated over or will eventually, valve basically killed the l4d1 community when they announced l4d2 although some still play the first one. As far the community its a mixed bag some are d-bags and some are quite enjoyable to play with, but if you have friends that play l4d2 then that would be the best experience.

I have both games , but my connection is very slow that it takes ~7 hours to install l4d , so thats why i was asking :)
