I was thinking about getting back into it. Last time I touched Skyrim was January of 2012, so well over a year ago. Any new major mods out that I should also consider if I get back into this?

Yea I'm playing it now. Just finished the Dawnguard DLC, thought it was great. I've got about 50 mods running. The Better Cities mod is a definitely must.
I booted it up just recently. Downloaded the Dragonborn DLC and updated some mods for it. I really wish Bethesda would work on the core stealth mechanics in their game engines.
Playing it with some stealth mods that utilize lighting, sound and some rather creative spells and skills (Setting a trap, then swapping places with enemies, using a arrow to create sound or turning off a light source from a torch scone with a water arrow), It's actually pretty fun despite the limitations the mod authors seem to have.
Also have ALOT of atmospheric mods that make nights and darkness feel really intense. Hoowever, I'm trying to find a mod that dynamically alters NPC vision more realistically than it does. >_<
This is a nice short-list of some of the better mods out there. Skyrim Redone is probably the biggest gamechanger mod I have. I highly recommend it.I was thinking about getting back into it. Hey guys, I never played any ES games before and was waiting for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary Edition, is it worth getting it this late?

Don't take offense but I've never understood these types of questions. Â It's a single-player game so if you have never played it, how could it ever be too "late" to give it a shot? Â It's not a MMORPG or a multi-player game. Â If anything, Bethesda's games tend to get better after mod community has had the opportunity and the time to properly fix them. Â
I just uninstalled Skyrim but i'll get back into it when I get the dragonborn DLC. Skyrim Nexus site is a good place to look for mods. Skyrim need a mod that makes the combat system like Dark Souls than I woulld never stop playing.
Skyrim is kinda like fine wine. Wine that we probably shouldnt have never opened and had a glass when we just purchased it huehuehue.Hey guys, I never played any ES games before and was waiting for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary Edition, is it worth getting it this late?

im pretty sure gamespot does like a weekly article about the top 5 mods of the week, i could be wrong though i dont like the game but i always see it on the front page
Oh hell yeah, always new mods to try, graphics cards and cpus to push to the limit, new builds and weapons to try, and more.
Its funny, though...I always end up making a stealthy archer. Â I just cant seem to make anything else past level 20. Â Thinking of trying a heavy-armor clad mage next...shield in left hand, spell in right.
I played a good 60 hours of Skyrim but I always find myself getting bored. It doesn't keep my attention like Fallout does.
i also always choose a stealthy archer.... i tell myself i'll try something different... but when it comes time i just cant convince myself to do it.Oh hell yeah, always new mods to try, graphics cards and cpus to push to the limit, new builds and weapons to try, and more.

I played it this year for about 80 hours. It seems to be a game you can just jump back into with ease. biggest_loserI jumped back into it recently. The game is easy to get back into, it's the story quest stuff that left me a bit confused.
I quit playing a long time ago.The mods are really disappointing when compared to the ones available for oblivion.
Don't bother, it is terrible. They used to focus on MoDs that actually enhanced gameplay, it is 90% stupid crap now. If you want the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle in your Skyrim world this article is for you. Otherwise I wouldn't waste my time.im pretty sure gamespot does like a weekly article about the top 5 mods of the week, i could be wrong though i dont like the game but i always see it on the front page

Put in about 75 hours into it, but it has been a long time since I played. I did find with Skyrim it was easy to lose interest.

People watch it for the fun commentary, they don't just watch is just to learn about mods.Â
I haven't played it since I finished it in Jan 2012. It was good game and the 200 hours spent was well worth it, but I can't bring myself to play it again; compared to Oblivion which I played through over 5-6 times with different classes. This may sound crazy, but in the Oblivion-Skyrim comparison, the latter actually felt kinda plastic. The main quest was very disappointing.
Besides, I haven't played the Dragonborn DLC yet.madrocketeer

Woops, thanks for reminding me.
Played through it once and did a bunch of sh!t and now I never boot it up unless some new mod grabs my attention. And even then I play for like 30 minutes and stop
I never finished the main quest despite playing for 90 hours, maybe this summer i'll return. Smithing and enchanting just made it way to easy to become super overpowered though.
[QUOTE="MBirdy88"]is there anyway to quickly remove ALL worshop mods attached to a game? I have 200+ on skyrim .... takes far too long to remove them manually to the point where its an appualing feature.wis3boi
unsubscribing is the easy way
Nothing easy about it as there is simply no "quick list" way of unsubscribing to each mod" it would take me a good half hour, something im not willing to do because they havn't implemented something so basic as a "Select all, unsubscribe" ..... unless im missing it somewhere.[QUOTE="wis3boi"][QUOTE="MBirdy88"]is there anyway to quickly remove ALL worshop mods attached to a game? The warzones + dragon mods + monster mods make it hands down the coolest experience in any game. My best friend who is the stereotypical COD bro that hates sword/fantasy games thinks it's the best game he's ever seen, he often insists on coming over just to watch it.

I'm running along a path through the mountains, my atronach goes flying through the air beside me as I realize there's something big near. A dragon lands on the archway above me while a polar bear bites the head of my follower, use invisibility potion, run to cover, summon an army of undead to fight for me. The army runs off to fight the dragon and I start shooting meteors from a ridge while another dragon lands right beside me, I jump off the ridge while trying to heal in midair, my atronach sends fireballs whizzing by my head as I'm descending the cliffs and a dragon is shooting electricity at me. I land on fllat land right in the middle of a giant warzone with what looks like 100 people fighting it out, dragon lands and starts eating a random sorcerer as I am running around with wards trying not to die. And that's just a random occurrence between quest locations. The sheer level of grandiosity and spectacle with the mods makes it fun to just run around the world. While the game came out a while ago the mods (specifically graphical overhauls) make it seem like a next-gen game and it runs prefectly smooth.
