Its a great rig you have there buy you could overclock your CPU to 3Ghz easily and then add an extra 1Gb of RAM (4GB's is a nice number.)

Yea Id would second that However if you get another GB of RAM, you will need to be running a 64bit OS. I read all your specs there and your have 3 OS's lol The only one that would benefit from 4gb of RAM would be windows 7. Try overclocking your CPU. Im guessing that you have a Q6600. I hear its very easy to overclock that CPU. Otherwise a very strong rig

A Gigabyte P35-DS3L motherboard is cheap and would allow you to put that CPU to 3Ghz with no voltage changes ;) Thats what iam using!

If it locks you out then just run a Windows Repair,,,,you dont loose any files and it just takes 10 minutes of your time.

Just commented on another post about that board.

Careful with the layout of the P5Q Deluxe. If you run a hi-end video card, you'll be struggling with your SATA ports. It's also picky about RAM. Make sure you have the right kind before you spend more than you need.

Thanks again for the board feedback :D Yea, the mobo layout is another key reason to choose carefully It sounds like for you'll be better off with a Gigabyte board

No that is just some application AMD made. Nvidia Ntune can do it on nvidia boards. Speed fan can OC you CPU. so can SoftFSB, and tons of other programs. you just get bad stability and less overclock ability through the software overclock. I used to use Ntune to do it on my computer before i got a new mobo, i could oc my E4600 stably to 2.6ghz, but with the bios on the new motherboard, i got it to 3.1ghz
