They couldn't handle the physics calculations or the massive renderings. Their limited RAM would be a gigantic bottleneck. Instead of infinite draw distance, you'd have that ugly fog at distance.

If almost no current pc can handle Crysis on maximum, don't expect any console to handle it even on low....

is like wanting a flop-disk to handle as much data as a DVD

what makes you think that knowing the 360 can play more with the ram? Which is the number one factor the devellopers of crysis mentioned why it would be difficult on the 2 next gen consoles... And second with the closer architecture between the 360 and pc I think it would be easier to have it on that console... Next is more processing power for the ps3 vs a better graphic on the 360...

I think with more developpement time and better sofware in a year or so it could run on both on med/high settings on 720p or 1080i... they definetely couldn't do it on 1080p.

You mean current-gen, TC. No, the XBOX 360, PS3, and Wii would all be unable to handle this game on very high. But could a next-gen console? Probably.

Very High? Hell no

High? Hell no

Medium? Yes

If crysis were to be ported to consoles it would most likely be a mix of medium and high settings, with most being medium.

Depends, crysis has so many tweaks. But if you mean the PC settings then no.

Medium settings or there abouts. If they make a ton of changes to levels and such, like reducing foilage, rocks, lowering polycounts then high settings is possible indeed. Especially at 720p with no AA.

The Xbox360 REALLY isn't such a powerhouse as a high-end PC that CAN run Crysis at Ultra settings and such. It runs at about Medium to Med-High levels to maintain framerates while still looking good, while a modern powerful computer can just blow the 360 out of the water.
