I do not find games relaxing, but fun as stated above. Sometimes games can cause the opposite of relaxing...

Depends on the game.. if you play a really intense game or you have a bad run and keep dying its the opposite of relaxing.

By way of having fun seems to release tension from work/school, so it could also be relaxing.

agree with the others depends on what game. If your playing an fps for example and go well online it can be so much fun and this usually means it will ease some of the tension from the day. On the other hand if you keep dying you'll get frustrated then it will cause the opposite to relaxing

Depends entirely on the game. Riven isn't relaxing, it's frustrating (in a good way!), while Gears of War isn't relaxing, it's a painful chore.

But maybe a little Team Fortress 2 or Doom, sure. Can be very relaxing. Screw psychiatrists, there's nothing as therapeutic as gibbing in a great game.

Maybe Spore will be. It's so warm and fuzzy looking. I cant wait! :P As for other games, no not really. The only thing that comes close is 3-4 man co-op on Halo 3 campaign on Xbox Live. I dont have to stress at all when I play Halo 3 co-op and it's ridiculously fun. Maybe walking around in Crysis without fighting is somewhat relaxing. :)

sure. but i don't find it relaxing. i find it fun. sort of like playing sports or riding a roller coaster - nothing relaxing about them, at least for me; just pure fun.
