Do you have a personal gaming achievement?

Is there anything gaming related that you want to do just to say "I DID THAT" and personal satisfaction?

I'm not talking about steam/gfwl achievements I'm taking about things like playing any cod campaign on veteran using pistols/melee only or doing a speed run for X game or something like that.

For example since I read about The Witcher 2 having a 1-life only mode (if you die the save game is no longer valid and you must start from the very beginning), I decided to beat the game on that difficulty - after finishing the game on a less punishing difficulty like normal off course :P.

i beat rainbow 6 vegas 1 using only a glock :P

i also beat code of honor 3 using only the shotgun (very tricky)

Getting the save all survivor achievement in Dead Rising 1. Getting this one was so infuriating because of the awful AI.

Also having 2 platinum stars, soon to be 3 on different pistols in BC2.

My 84 killstreak in COD4

Beating my mate at any RTS at least once, beat him with a double sided tank rush (tactical, I know) on C&C3. He never spoke about that moment again, ha.

Being able to play all the games I own on max graphics settings. The most satisfying moment was the start of crysis with the plane, no glitches, no slowdown, just smooth sailing, I was like wow finally :D

Yes lol this must be an achievement for all PC gamers.

Winning my first shoot out on every multiplayer FPS I've ever played (my KDR tends to be low, but I ALWAYS win my first shoot out of the game.)

Beating MGS1 without any saves in under 3 hours.

Beating Demon's Souls in 4 1/2 hours (I had beat it several times before this, and it was on a fresh character.)

Beating all Ninja Gaidens on the highest difficulties.

Accidentally getting a platinum trophy on God of War 3.

Winning a 1 vs 34 battle on Mount&Blade Warband.

Going 25 and 0 on Killzone 2 multiplayer while using only melee.


Those are my achievements that will likely stay in my memory forever. Probably my greatest moments as a gamer.

Right now my only objective is getting the shogun 2 legendary achievement...gooddam insanely hard Ai that always kill me in like 10 turns.

I crawled across an entire continent with my legs disabled and killed a dragon in Dwarf Fortress.

I turned into a Werewolf and wiped out most of the population of Vvardenfell on Morrowind once, it's a shame you can't infect people with the Werewolf diesese on that. I wouldn't really call it an achievement but I once flooded a Singleplayer level on Crysis using the Editor which was cool.

Just got out of a BFBC2 game and I went 14/0 as Engineer. Honestly don't give a crap about K/D as I would rather support with medic and actually win a friggin round for once. It's the fact that I didn't die at all. But for me, that's a milestone in any online gaming. Engineer seems to be the class that I'm best at, followed by Medic.

Just got out of a BFBC2 game and I went 14/0 as Engineer. Honestly don't give a crap about K/D as I would rather support with medic and actually win a friggin round for once. It's the fact that I didn't die at all. But for me, that's a milestone in any online gaming. Engineer seems to be the class that I'm best at, followed by Medic.

I'm improving a lot on the Engineer class, and manage to get a decent K/D and get the Ace Pin at the same time.
My personal achievement is to finish Resident Evil 2 in under 3 hours. So far I managed to finish the game in about 2 hours and 15 minutes with 2 save games. I always stock up on Magnum ammo and never use the gun for the whole game, apart from the last boss battle.

Back in the day I loaded up CS:S and joined a 24/7 deathmatch style fy_iceworld server I had never visited before and over the course of 4-5 hours went from being unranked to number 4 on the server with a 400-10 record or something insane like that. As soon as I started getting killed more (2-3 times in the course of a couple minutes) I quit the server and never went back.

I like to speedrun through games. Not competitively though. I don't try to beat other people's times. I only try to beat my own time. It's usually the last thing I do in a game before I take a break from it. It's usually the most fun in story heavy games to see how short the game really is. For instance, I think I beat Metal Gear Solid 1 in 3 hours and Portal 1 in 45 minutes. They aren't even close to the "records", but they are my best times and that's good enough for me. Another thing I somtimes do is a "no deaths" playthrough. I have to make it through the whole game without dying once. I don't try this very often though.

I remember being very proud of myself the first time I beat Megaman 2, and even more proud when I beat TMNT 2: The Arcade Game. I also remember jumping up and down a few times the first time I knocked out Mike Tyson in Mike Tyson's Punch Out! It's not such a big deal to beat games now because it's just expected. Still, there was a sense of accomplishment when I finished Ninja Gaiden (Xbox) and The Last Remnant.

Getting 100% completion unintentionally in GTA Vice City. I only had one unique stunt left to do to get 100%. I had the guide by my side as well as various FAQs. I went though every unique stunt in the game 3+ times over and not one of them was the one I was missing. I was very pissed off at this point and went down some back alleyways and hit various jumps recklessly to kill Tommy in frustration. After the third jump I see the confirmation pop up saying I did a unique stunt and then 100% completion confirmation! My controller and jaw hit the floor at that moment and I stood in awe and shock for a while. I will never forget that moment. :D

It can be hard, but if you now the A.I. and the timing of the enemies can be fun. I've finished it on PC, PS1, Gamecube, N64 and on PSP (That's where I've got the latest record), so I know the game by heart. Attepmting the S rating on it is actually the ardest. You can only use 1 herb combination and only 1 save I think. On top of that, you have to finish the game in at least 1 hour and 30 minutes. I don't think I can do that :P

Isn't it fun with the Engineer on Bad Comapny 2, to destroy a chopper without even using a tracer dart?

lol yeah for real. Highest I ever got out of 3 years of playing it (off and on).... was like high 20s, low 30s killstreak. (maybe higher but I don't recall it being any higher)

I beat Curious George in one sitting.

And now seriously, I don't really look to be ultra-challenged by games and I don't strive to do impressive things. That said, I believe the only "special" thing I've ever done in my entire gaming life was beat Max Payne without the crosshairs and using absolutely no bulltet-time whatsoever throughout on Dead on Arrival mode.
