Do any of you guys know a desktop unit better than this for the same price?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229054

like with a better graphics card or bigger HDD or anything with the same price? Even a blu ray player. Needs to be a quad core CPU. I need to know before I dish out money for this when I can get something much better for the same price.

I want to finally be able to play Crysis! lol

Build it yourself and you'll get a better system, or at the very least more reliable and completely customized. You don't need 8GB of RAM, that case is cheap as hell, cramped, and ugly as sin, it doesn't come with a Blu-Ray player, it's using a shoddy nForce chipset, it doesn't specify if it's a Core 216 model GTX 260, it's probably going to be loud as hell, and customer service from CyberpowerPC is a horrid experience.

look at someones system and find which parts you need that will go together. that is the toughest part, putting it together is very simple and has instructions on the sutff you but on how to install, also there is tips on the internet, ie youtube. it is very simple. trust me its worth the 30 minutes of work it will take to color match the things to put cards and cables in.

Why do you have 8GB of RAM on a tri-channel memory controller? And unless you work on huge Photoshop files or do professional 3D work, you could take half that RAM out and I bet you couldn't even tell the difference.

That's not bad at all I was expecting a lot worse.Great MB but I'm biased towards it.And I'm sure you realize you could save some cash if you built it your self. Not to fond of the case.

mm, for that money you could do alot better, that equates to about, £950 for that money i could build myself a core i7 running a 4870x2 or the new 295, in fact, you could get one built for you!!

EDIT: i've just read the reviews.. have you? 2 had components knocked loose, and another did'nt work at all..... great... for that money i want it to be delivered on a gold chariot.

I just wanted to max it out at 8 since it had a open slot... at first i had 6gb on it, but the same day i bought it i also bought 2 more gigs because it just bugged me there was an empty slot open and knowing it can take 8 gig lol.....i dont know, its taunting me .....And you are right, theres no difference, i just like having it just incase.

You can get all the parts of that computer with a better quality powersupply, better case, and maybe better quality ram for $320 cheaper so if you don't wan to bulid then get someone else to do it for you. Not only do you get it cheaper even after charging someone to do it but you get parts that you can choose yourself and alot of those parts come minimum 3 years warrenty versus ibuypowers 1 year only with crappy customer support

DD2 is going to be obsolete sooner or later, and Core i7 is now the standard. Best wait till Core i7 gets a price drop and then get it. DDR3 ram is going to start becoming more common as the Core 2 Duos are going to be obsolete.

For parts we can just give you a list of what we think is best in a given price range and as for the actually building, its actually not bad at all. I only read these two guides and I figured it out no problem

Core i7 the standard? Too much GTA IV lately?

Core i7 will not turn mainstream until DX11. High end Duos will still be effective and efficient until then.
