Do You Like Team Fortress 2 Or Counter Strike?

Team Fortress 2 is better in my opinion.It's constantly updated,tons of ways to play and it requires teamwork to succeed.

I like both games.

TF2 is stays fresh with it's updates, varied and very balanced classes, ect. Complementary to the balance, the game can be picked up by a newcomer and still find a role with some fun to be had.

I absolutely love CS 1.6 and CS:S. The game is pretty difficult for new players with veterans like myself running around who've been playing the game since it's release in 99. It doesn't receive many major updates, but still has some nice community made maps. Most players don't want it to be changed, updated, or receive a sequel, you wouldn't understand.

Definitely TF 2. There is one problem though with it, once I start playing, God knows when I say "okay that's enough for now".

Tf 2 is a best where everyone has to contribute...

tf2 by far cs is really hard to play cause its usually a one hit kill with most guns and tf2 is funny and it makes it more enjoyable

They constantly pump time, money, and effort into updates for it when the playerbase has been and always is on the decline. It's an interesting game to pick up and play every once in awhile, but in the end it gets boring quick. I wish Valve would pick up a new project already - something a little more interesting. Natural Selection 2 wouldn't hurt...KHAndAnime

I don't see how it's a failure, since it's fanbase is steady and having 9 classes to perfect, it can't get boring fast. Also, they are working on Natural Selection 2.

Although I have been playing CS and CSS on and off since 2003, I still like TF2 better. It's more fun, and far less fustrating to play.

And despite 6 odd years under my belt, I still have a crappy kill-death ratio in CS. People are just too damn good, or maybe I just suck too much at these twitch shooters.

Funny i think that TF2 is more frustrating than CS even if youre the best player on the server if you're stuck on a team that doesnt work together you wont accomplish much. A lot of ppl just worry about their stats and dont bother looking or paying attention what classes are needed to help the team. A lot of times you'll see 4 snipers 3 spy no medics and the team ends up being rolled. But that's expected in pubs i suppose.

In CS one could at least take out several players from the other team and give your team a numbers advantage.

Both are great games but I would prefer CS, though i havent played it since i built my new rig last year.

Team Fortress 2 is brilliant.

i think i like counter strike more, but i do love tf2. im not spectacular at either of them but im good enough to hold my own (get at least a 1.5 k/d ratio). counter strike teams are usually fairly balanced and even when they are not its still quite possible to win a round, team fortress 2 i rarely get in a good game, its usually either my team is destroying the other team or vice versa.

You can't prove that. That's just making everyone else's opinion for them. And Team Fortress 2 didn't come free in the Orange Box, it was simply part of the Orange Box.

I am disregarding him now. And that last statement is true. Why, just today I was playing with a couple buddies and the servers we tried(3 different ones) were almost entirely little kids. I'm 13, but I'm not like those other kids that act like idiots and have stupid rules and mods(one of the servers had police and TeleTubby skins and they all said they'd get my account banned by their mod friend because I killed one of them).

Yeah. Luckily, they usually stay away from the Gun Game servers.

I hate counter strike. Although i have over 1500 hours playing it. PLayed on some of the best teams that have ever graced cal main. And gone to 7 lans and won 5. terrible game.

I've only played Team Fortress 2.

TF2 because everyone on CS is either really mean or really good. Or both.

Plus I get tired of shooting someone's torso for five seconds and getting no hits.

TF2 on the otherhand is a blast everytime I've played. I don't know how many hours I've logged on 2fort alone and somehow against all common sense it's still fun.

Wow everyone voted for team fortress 2 and only 4 people voted for i'm too stupid too play that game.

I'm not saying all of them, not even most of them. It's just that some of them can be stupid. Same with every age.

I'm going to end this playerbase conversation. Team Fortress 2=2007. Counter-Strike: Source Mods=2004...And it has mods. Valve doesn't have to support CS:S because it gets it's content from players. Team Fortress 2 is only getting class updates and new hats.

I find it comical that the all these young kids feel qualified to talk about counter strike. They probably fall into two categories:

a)the newer is better crowd

b) people who are never going to get to the skill level of cs players that have been playing since they were in the third grade.

Maybe not from your personal perspective, but I'd say this is pretty accurate criteria for judging what's the "better game" based on the sheer volume of games cs has MANY years later.

Definitely, imo, cs is the better game. I agree with the notion that a good player can do a lot more for their team in counter strike, but that's why tf2 is called TEAM fortress.

I prefer Team Fortress 2, I have never owned counter strike either.

oh yeah, another thing i like about cs:s is i rarely run into the damn little kids who start spouting thier squeaky little voices through the mic. on tf2 nearly every game i get one or two of those little idiots.

Like I said, plyaerbase=/=better game. Some of the greatest games had small playerbases. And yes, they are adding new modes and everything, but that's because the modders are obsessed with CS:S.
