i want to get a hdtv for my room and i cant really afford to spend too much and the 19inch hdtvs are more in my price range. However i am concerned that 19 inch would be too small.

Do you people think that 19 inch is ok or should i spend more and get 22 or 26 inch?

i need your advice on this

PS, when im using the 360, i sit onthe bed and im roughly about 1.3 metres away from the screen.

19" is OK if you are playing the console alone and also if you have a tight budget, also if 22" monitor is not very costly from 19" it would be better where I live 22" monitor is twice the price of 19", so for me 19" is straight forward the better deal. Also I think you can get a HDTV (720P, LCD) of 20" (sansui) at a price lower than 22" monitor. It is although smaller but will have no widescreen (stretching) problem and if you are buying only for gaming it could be a good deal. Also most of VGA cards today support HDTV-out so there will also be no problem if you are going to use it for PC too ( if you want more utility).

Then Choose between 19 and 22 since 26 would be not much value for money for your condition. Still 22 would be prefrable, since 19 gets too much small and some thing are sure to missed out.

I would personally go for the 26 inch, but only if you can afford it. Obviously budget is going to be your guiding light here. If you have a tv to play on now, I personally would take the time to save up for the 26inch, you will be happy later :)

I use a 19' lcd hdtv and it is fine if you are playing one player. If you are split-screening it's still clear but is pretty small.. also i wouldn't really recommend getting a lcd because when I play on mine and when I have played on my friends it's hard to play for more than 30 mins straight for some reason it gives you a headache or you get dizzy.. I've also heardfrom friends and other people that it is not a rare occurence.. I'd go with a CRT. I know that's a little off topic but just trying to help.

I am currently using a 20 inch CRT screen and the quality is good but i do find it a tad on the blurry side at times and i feel like im losing a fair amount of graphical detail the 360 has to offer.

If you're like 1 foot away, try to find a 26''.

I'd go for 26 inch. 19 inch is too small. And the price for26 is not too high... I find that a recent deal for the 26 inch Sony HDTV is only $700. You can check it out.

Im proberbly gonna go with the 26 inch since they seem to be the same price as the 22 inch tvs. At first i was using a small 14inch standerd TV and it was just too hard to focus and playing halo 3 was not easy on the eye. So im using my brothers old 20 inch standerd Tv.

Right in my gaming room I have a 19" HDTV and I love it. The room is pretty small and I sit kinda close to the TV, but it is just awesome for 360 gaming. In this room it feels more like a 32".

At 26" I feel you'll be more than fine with 720p. You'd probably not even notice the difference between 720p and 1080p at that res

i use a 19" screen & its fine- but it all depends on your budget really- if u can afford a 22" screen then go for it.
