Nope. Most blizzard games are online and require a monthly fee or an encrypted account; there's no possible way around this unless people play on crappy "private" servers.chrisrooRThe only Blizzard game that requires a monthly fee is WOW. However, none legit copies (ie: not a valid cd key) make it impossible to get on Battle.net so you can't enjoy the best parts of Diablo or Starcraft, which is the multiplayer. That, alone will encourage people to pay for the real deal.

Only ONE game did that ONE. That was WoW. Diablo II free online play Starcraft free online play Warcraft III free online play All of these games have Single-Player/Campaign mode. You must be confused.
Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 probably wont come out until 2010 sometime. Im convinced that at E3, Starcraft 2 will have a release date and Diablo 3 will reveal a new character class. Well i hope they release the entire class line up, or maybe a playable demo cuz im sure they are further along in development than they stated at BlizCon.prlyknitswtrwhats E3? and when is it?

Its at held in the spring time, normally middle of May. If they dont reveal any new info for Diablo 3, then we will not see that game for at least 2010 holiday season. if there isnt any info for Starcraft 3, then im not gonna get my hopes up over Blizzard anymore. That company toys with its fans because they know all of us will jump over anything starcraft or diablo related no matter how long the wait is. we waiting since 98 for a new starcraft, and 2001 for a new diablo. that bull...
Diablo 3? most likely, maybe even the most downloaded game of tht year, because the main intrest is its singleplayer part, of course to many it's multiplayer is very important too, but not like sp.
Starcraft 2? it too will get downloaded alot but since most will want it for multiplayer I'm guessing it will sell really well.
oh yeah just as all there other games, and because cheapskates will refuse to buy all THREE starcraft games and actually be in the right..for once.aura_enchantedhaha yea true but with Blizzard's release history, there will probably be at least a 1 year gap in between the starcraft episodes.
Pirates would be foolish to pirate Blizzard's releases "to the extreme". The main drive for pirate's existence is the unhappiness over the direction certain devs are taking, so they pirate those games as a method of revenge (a clear motive).
Blizzard is one of the top firms still producing PC exclusives, leaving no reason for expansive pirating to occur. Pirates are not dumb (naaar!) they understand the gaming industry and what must be corrupted and what shouldn't. Blizzard's care and support for their games has created a love and bonding relationship between dev and player, and a pirate would be clinically insane to try and tick a developer off (especially one as large as Blizz) because that could bring about the extinction of PC gaming (leaving the pirates without a job unless they move onto consoles).
Games such as Spore deserve to get mass pirated because there clearly is no care put into it, since the game is either unfinished/simply not fun. EA Games and Ubisoft are fine examples of **** corporations deserving a pirate's peg leg up their fat arses. Blizzard have earned huge respect from all in the gaming industry as a whole and pirates understand that.
Therefore piracy for all future blizzard release will be low.

I disagree.. Pirates clear motive is because its FREE.. Free>>> paying money.. There is nothing greater than that.. Most pirates care less about higher causes, just like peopel could care less about higher things when they purchase the game just as long as they are satisfied with the product..However, none legit copies (ie: not a valid cd key) make it impossible to get on Battle.net so you can't enjoy the best parts of Diablo or Starcraft, which is the multiplayer. I really hope not, if they were pirated to the extreme then that would be a serious blow to PC gaming.shertWhy? World of Warcraft is one of most pirated games ever but its still one of best selling games.Pirates dont get top wuality servers and support and thats why it will not be same quality

I think you're confused because the point of WC3 and SC2 is to play online against other players which requires a valid cd key...
you see battle.net (as rich and powerful as its master blizzard is) has been broken several times. in the span of an hour my older brother burned diablo 2 mere months after release and that copy still works, as he did with starcraft, and warcraft 2, and diablo. all of them connect to b.net just fine. moving from burn to torrent isnt very hard. so in truth battle.net is a broken system blizzard real focus is on preventing its MMO cashcow from having the same fate. i image starcraft 2 and diablo 3 will probably be ignored so long as there turning roughly 333 million a month in monthly fees (excluding life packs and game sales) from that 1 game alone. within a few weeks of release i imagine diablo 3 and starcraft 2 will be the talk of torrenters the world over both viral and legit. SO as you can see blizzard will make 2 mediocre games to saiate there non WoW addict cult followers until the WoW either falls under or become like everquest and runescape, gone but not forgotten. and they wont really care if they get torrented.aura_enchantedYou CANNOT connect to battle net if you do not have ORIGINAL CD KEY! If you have original cd key (bought game or obtained it some other way) than you can go online with pirated copy - yes. You can burn game, you can crack game, but without original CD key you cant play on battle net. Easy as that (you can still play on lan and private servers though, but its mostly not same experience)

Thank you! Sorry guys, I mixed up something that should've been obvious :(. I meant to say the unique valid cd key rather than a monthly fee *facepalm*Lol what? Only ONE game did that ONE. I never said you need don't need a valid key. It was said that you needed to pay a monthly FEE. If you actually read instead of acting smart. Both WC3 and SC1 have free online play. Along with Diablo 2.Nope. Most meaning one of them. lol. WoW is the only one you have to pay to play online. Starcraft and Diablo II are both still free and fun to play online to this day, and Diablo III and Starcraft II will be too, or it will piss off a LOT of hardcore fans.
You can't play online easily without a legit CD key! :O Your CD key is tied to your Bnet account!
Still... of course they'll be pirated alot :D (or at least they'll try really hard to). I hate pirates :(. I love the satisfaction of paying for the game and then owning the copy on my shelf. :)
Psyched for D3 and SC2 :O

wow.... really? How many drugs are you taking? The games do have single-player. Starcraft, Warcraft, and Diablo... Yes they have online but so do games like Crysis, but that still gets pirated. However the online portion of games like Warcraft and Starcraft are large parts of the game that people WANT to play. That is primarily because of the custom games you can make (without it you would still have the pros playing, but there aren't a ton of those).
As long as Blizzard doesn't put on anything like securom then they should be fine. I mean with Starcraft they gave out of a cd-key to use for lan purposes. I can't see them being super strict now, unless Activision makes them put on some protection stuff.

2 things
a) not all of there game son battlenet have cd keys (warcraft 2 diablo 1 etc.)
b) keygens are stupid easy to locate via torrents or download sites, and even if u have a legit key (like i do) it will still not always connect to battlenet (i tried to burn diablo 2 LoD once and even with a legit key i could not run the game online except via lan).
