Do you think this is good enough to run the basic World of Warcraft game?

512 MB of RAM

My processor runs at 3057 HMz

My computer is a Windows XP

Also my computer I could use is a laptop, not a desktop

Sorry if some of the info is useless and please don't answer with saying something like you should buy....processor....computer....more RAM, etc. I don;t feel like buying anything for my computer. Thanks. :)

Go to the Run program, and type in dxdiag. Then go to display and tell me what is the name of the graphics chipset in there. It has a name there and tell me what it is. Then I can tell you.

Youdon't need to be. do the following...

Click Start > run > type "DXDIAG" (without the quotes). That will bring up the directX diagnosis tool. First page will tell your processor type and speed (MHZ, GHZ), amount of memory (RAM), and DirectX version.

There are tabs along the top of the screen, one of which is labelled "DISPLAY". Click on it. This will tell you the NAME, CHIP TYPE and APPROX. TOTAL MEMORY of your video card.

Please find all of this info out and return to us. But just based on what you have already said, I would say that you can run WoW, but not at high graphics levels or really smooth. You have 512 megs of ram and WoW is memory intensive, meaning "the more the better". I would upgrade to a gig... but based on what you have already said... I doubt you know how to do that.

Your processor is good enough which is a good thing, your ram however is just really the minimum. This game really uses alot of ram and therefore upgrading it with lets say 1 gig, which nowadays only costs 30 bucks and is really easy to do, will have a huge positive effect in this game.
