I've been using a logitech trackman wheel for almost 10 years now, yes the same one. I've been gaming alot recently and even though this one still works perfect. I'm wondering if there is something better out there for gaming? What do you use?

That's pretty awesome.

But, if you like your trackball, and it's working fine, and you've got no problems with it, just use your trackball. If not, just get a cheap wired (wireless only if you're not crazy about competitive online PC gaming) mouse that is comfortable to your hand.

That's a sarcastic question, right? (If it isn't, imagine an older ball mouse that's been inverted so that the ball faces up and it moves the cursor in the direction that you roll it instead of the direction opposite of where you roll it. That's the basic premise.) I'm used to normal sliding mice, so that's what I use. Of course, some things were made for trackballs, in which case I bust out my trusty CH Products DT225 USB. (Not the most impressive trackball at first sight, but it's extremely programmable if you use the Control Manager software and have the patience to learn a scripting language.)

I love trackballs, not so much for gaming or everyday use, but when I am working on someones PC real quick and have limited room, you can't beat a trackball.

It is just some random logitech from a while back, good ol PS/2 hook up.

Thanks guys, I was just wondering if, after ten years, there was any reason to ditch this ol thing. Seems like it's the only part of the PC gaming world that doesn't need to upgrade every 3-4 years.. lol.
