Every time I try to connect to a server I get redirected to one particular server... its so weird. Also sometimes it just takes me to this one map with like 30 people in spectator but they are not real people and then when I join the game I get kicked by console or redirected to that other server I told you about. Also I get kicked by console from that other server a lot for no reason it says something about reserved slot but I know thats not it because the server is not even half full at the time! What is going on here, anyone ever had this happen to them??

No, that's kinda crazy.. Try and delete the files in the game's folder, and relaunch steam and redownload it. That'd be the simplest way
well I went and deleted the Day of Defeat Source folder in C:\programfiles\steam\steamapps and then started the game and it seems to have fixed it. although the game did just crash but it was working well for a little while. lol
no I take that back it's still doing the same stuff. When I try to connect to any server it will first connect to some weird server with 30 spectators (bots I assume) and nobody playing. then it when I join the game it will suddenly redirect me to a custom map server where I can play for a while before it kicks me for no reason from the server. Sometimes when I try to join a server it will tell me it's full even when there are only like 16/32 people playing. I hate it.
You have to enable the server to to use certain commands. It's a known issue. Basically, you're connecting to a server, but the little command "enable sever commands" is set to 0 instead of 1 (that's not the command, bu it's close to it), therefore it won't let you truly connect.
After a Steam update, this was a common problem, so you have to enable server commands to get rid of this issue. ;)

How can I find out the exact command? I tried reinstalling the game but that didn't do anything.
