Tons play, it's just the search engine is terrible.
This.Â
I haven't played in two months, but there are always matches going for whatever map/mode you want to do.Â
Last I heard it was one of the most popular multiplayer FPS games out there. I haven't played it myself yet but I'm not worried about it being dead before I do so.
According to BF3stats.com 49,000 players playing PC version right now.
The DLC has really kept people playing. The maps in the DLC have been absolutly fantastic and the combat in BF3 is some of the best in the industry.

I'd dare say it has the best gunplay in any FPS game. No other game comes close to it.Â

I would say that but FEAR exists.Â
The suppression system really can ruin BF3's gameplay. It adds absolutly nothing to the game. I used to defend it, but now I just don't like it.Â
If they would remove the suppression system and increase the response time of hitting enemies and getting hit, it would have the best.

FEAR does have very good satisfying gunplay, but BF3s I think is better cos of the ballistics involved and the ranges etc. it's doing a lot more.
I don't think they should remove it as such, just reduce it or use it in a different way. It was a good idea, they just fvcked it up and that infamous patch where they increased it a lot has never gone away totally. Going client side was great though because all my shots count now and I can play on servers up to 120 ping without too much weird stuff happening. But it can be a bit off at times.
Let's hope BF4 refines what's already good

This is good to hear, cause my gf and I were thinking of getting 2 copies of BF3 soon. We are gonna get the edition of it that comes with all the DLC too, cause I do hear the maps on the DLC are much better.Â
Will prolly be in a few weeks, or so. Hoping for a sale.

Everybody has been praising client side hit detection, but when BF3 came out everybody was complaining about it. Did something change? To my knowledge nothing big has changed in the game since the big suppression patch.

Red Orchestra 2 smashes Battlefield 3 in gameplay and gunplay IMO. I played RO2 heavily before BF3 came out and I've always had a hard time getting into BF3 because of it. Seems like half my time spent playing BF3 was dedicated to dodging gunfire from jets/helis/snipers. I found too many of the weapons to be ineffective (simply requiring too many rounds to kill the enemy). Killing enemies and being killed as a whole was boring for me because you always go into the same revive animation after death, making the combat really not as satisfying as it could and should be. Maybe if it had the realistic edge and brutality found in RO2, it would be a little more grabbing of my attention.[QUOTE="Wasdie"]

BF3 isn't an arena shooter, gtfo the movement here's how a cs top player plays bf3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-UEnGMN3_w&t=55s his gamestyle is complete and utter pubstomp my gamestyle is way way different http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMJ7ptBcFhU look at all that jumping around my gamestyle works best against very good people because i'm hopping all around, and I just general aim. It's def not the best pub stomping way to play.[QUOTE="JigglyWiggly_"]bf3 is nothing like ro2[QUOTE="KHAndAnime"] Red Orchestra 2 smashes Battlefield 3 in gameplay and gunplay IMO. Pretty much this. There are a LOT of great servers with tens of thousands of people playing even the worst modes on the worst maps.
Unfortunately you have to know where to look, I would suggest adding great servers to your favorites list or checking out your history since BF3 is riddled with perpetually empty servers.

yEP i NEVER EVEN SEARCH ANYMORE...JUST GO TO MY HISTORY OR FAVS.....opps caps. My bad.
Origin s***, search and scrooooolll down this will get more results. Use 3rd party search engine if necessary, add favs. Yeah once again Origin **** with their half baked search engine.
Yea after using the filters i was able to get into some pretty good rush/conquest games, before it was just giving me crowded tdm games on noshar or metro, which were Aweful games. This game is definantly not built for tdm. And after playing it for a couple hours, it makes me miss bfbc2 lol. I miss the slower pace which imo promotes more teamwork, and just makes it feel more fun. I am enjoy the massive amount of content bf3 gives you though. there are so mqny guns and attachments lol.pl4yer_f0undYeah that was so good!
