Let me start off by saying I'm a huge Blizzard fan. I've really loved World of Warcraft, and played Diablo 2 at a friend's house for.... days.

I picked up SC2 about a year ago, and I've enjoyed my time with it. However, I tried out the demo of WarCraft 3, and really enjoyed that game more, for one reason or another. Maybe it's because I like fantasy more than science fiction, or because it is a bit slower-paced.

However, I want to play a game that people still actually play. Do lots of people still play WarCraft 3, or has it been forgotten in the huge, looming shadow of SC2 and WoW? Is it still relatively competitive? Is it easy to find games online? Or is it dying off...?

Thanks for your input.

Lot of customs, but there's still a strong competitive community if that's your thing.

TBH i played abit today, theres a few customs, mostly hosting bots and they take forever to fill up, some of the popular custom games wont take long to get a game going but there harldy any, you would get a game faster searching ladder 1v1 or 2v2.

Competive? hmm not sure, but all the pros have retired.

Its worth it just for the campeign anyways and you will beable to get games in multiplayer.

The campaign alone is worth the buy, but the custom maps are still pretty good.

Loved the campaign for WC3 but, never liked the multiplayer. SC was always much better for multiplayer. Even WC2 was better at it.
