Does anyone else here get tired of doing badly in multiplayer games? I always seem to just plain suck when it comes to multiplayer games especially on the PC. In CoH I always lost online when I played. Almost ALWAYS. In CS:S my k/d is always less than 1:1.. I would have to say that my average is like 1:2 or 1:3. The game that really bothers me the most id DoD:S mainly because that is the game I like to play on a consistent basis. I can almost NEVER get a 1:1 ratio on it and it just really makes me mad. The last game I played I had a ratio of 10:37. How disgustingly bad is that? Do you have any idea why I do so badly at them? I don't know what I am doing so wrong.. maybe there is jsut something about games where you really have to learn how to play them to be any good.. I don't know. grrr this makes me so mad.

dont take it personally but maybe you just suck at fps, i know when i dont play for a long time i will get maybe 1 to 1 k:d ratio, but after a week or two of everyday playing for an hour or so ill easily see my ratio at 2 or even 3 for every death, i could still remember the old worlfenstein et days were sometimes i would kill 50 or 60 people and die maybe 2 or 3 times one of which was always a tk, so just play more and if you dont improve get anouther gener, rpg, rts those dont need good skills (lol)

I only do if I am experienced with the game and I know I should be doing better. Also there is a whole crap load of hackers out there. I found out that two of my good friends hack in games!

Yeah that always happens to me, I do good and then I get bad all of a sudden and then I get mad and then I get worse and then the cycle starts over.

People like to talk, but your k:d ratio doesn't necessarily say anything about your actual skill level. It mainly just says something about the way you play the game. I, for one, don't usually like to rush. I find that I'm a much more effective player, and that I enjoy myself a lot more playing defense for my team. You know that guy on your team who tosses smoke grenades in obscure locations every round? Yeah, that's me. Since I'm not just trying to rush and gun down as many enemies as I can every round, my kills are typically a lot lower than the rest of my team. And while I can't take full credit, I also happen to end up on the winning team far more often than not. If your deaths are a lot higher than the rest of the folks on your team, however, then that probably says something about your skills (or, like me, you find yourself having long streaks of genuinely sh***y luck :P) in the role you're trying to play. You should try to change up your tactics and try new things to surprise the enemy. Always consider line-of-sight angles and your field of view, and be constantly aware of weapon penetration. Try playing a little more defensively and see if you fare a little better. Quick reflexes and sharp aim are indispensable, but a player who can out-think his enemy and uses good tactics is unstoppable, even if his score doesn't rival that of some of his teammates. And learn to love your handguns and SMGs! :)
