i need a program that will tell me where the most space is being taken up on my computer. like if i had a "movies" folder with a bunch of movies i downloaded that was worth about 100gb i want the program to be able to tell me that thats what's taking up most of the space. anyone know of anything like this? thanks a lot. wrong forum, i know, couldnt find one that suited my question better.

If you're just looking for the largest individual files, you could always run a search and include criteria of, say, any file of over 500mb.

I don't think you can do that, can you? I mean, directory structures are such that many folders contain other folders and browsing all the larger folders for the terminating subfolder would be a nightmare. I'm sure there's some freeware out there that will do that well. Maybe check these.

Just do a clean hard drive thing in accessories then have it filter it by file size.

WinDirStat is exactly what you're looking for. http://windirstat.info/ It shows you your biggest folders.
