Last time I player it was basically hackers paradise. Since then I have not heard about Rockstar doing anything about that so I dont think mp is too popular.
You'll find a little bit of players. It's peer-to-peer so you just have to hope other people want to play at the same time as you. There are hackers and in general I thought the MP wasn't very well put together.
