Does anyone still play Battlefield 2 online?

There's still tons of people playing it. I would too, but my profile score isn't updating anymore, so I kind of quit. I was about to unlock the new sniper rifle as well :cry:.Edgemaster666

:Edit: And yes to the question. Thousands upon thousands of people still play Battlefield 2 daily. I just got off of a server an hour ago to take a break. And I would never leave BF2 for WoW. Thats just a disgusting thought.

My biggest issue right now is parachuting. It says to push 9 to use it, but I do that and Istill manage tofall to my death. What gives? I mean I love falling 2 thousand feet to my death and all, but one of these times, living would be cool. :P

Push 9 once you will hear it deploy "swoosh" if you push 9 more than once it will un-deploy and you will leave a nice hole in the ground, A nice "trick" is to free-fall til u get right near ground level, then press 9 and bada bing, u are landed safe and sound. a lot of players WILL shoot you while you are in the chute!Ranger11B

I never managed to "un-deploy" my parachute. I have the parachute key binded to the "C", and when I want to open it, I go like C C C C C C C C C C until I hear the swosh. But the chute never closed by pressing C after it is open.

And opening the chute near ground level is a great tactic (this is called HALO jump in real life, High Altitude-Low Opening). You're a sitting duck if you open it at high altitudes.

Carbombs are still the pwnage. I love it when tankers and other vehicles get pissed at you for it hahaha.

Yeah but the game is totally unbalanced if you don't buy all of the expansions. By buying the expansions you unlock weapons you can take with you back into the regular game.

I quit playing BF2 because everyone had better weapons than me and it's not a good enough game to expand...at least if you have to pay for it...

The best gun for me is the G3...which you can unlock by playing for 30mins...since when you rank up you can pick any weapon, there's no "lvl 1, lvl 2, lvl 3" guns. So you couldn't even play for 30mins to get a weapon....? It's not like you need 10 ranks to get 20 unlocks becaue you'll only be using one gun....

The KVD is total crap, the Light 50 is HORRIBLY inaccurate (can't "snipe" with it) so the only usuable sniper rifle for MEC or PLA is the L96A1...I'm not going to buy $50 worth of expansions for one gun no matter how good the gun is.
