I am just wondering if anyone has used a Philips LCD HDTV for Xbox360/PS3 and PC gaming.
I am getting a Philips 40PFL5705D/F7 40-Inch 1080p 240 Hz LCD HDTV with NetTV and I am wondering how it will perform in gaming.

Phillips is a mid-quality brand. All I can say is that it's gonna be great, not the best, but certainly not disappointing.

My uncle owns a Phillips (not sure if it's LCD or Plasma) and it has the best picture I have ever seen on an HDTV. It's like you can reach out and touch the people cooking on the Food Network.

I would look for a 120hz model just to save some $, 240hz kind of goes along with the expensive HDMI and TOSlink cable issue; just because it's more expensive doesn't necessarily mean it is going to be any better.

I think Phillipshas gotten a lot better as a brand, in terms of quality.Their big box HDTVs seriously sucked! Their flat panels seem to hold up though, and have pretty good pictures.

Been using a Phillips LCD for 2 years, I can tell the difference between that and my Sharp LCD but still has excellent quality. My complaint is that I have a vertical blue line down my display on the left, it is thin and hardly noticable but the fact that it's there bugs me.

I own a magnavox tv which is made by phillips and I use it for all my gaming needs. I feel that the pictures is pretty decent and good enough for me but I am sure there are way better sets out there.

The thing is, 1080p is usually locked at 24fps... so thats 10% of the true potential you have and nothing can change the fact that 90% of your TV's capacity is not getting used. Complete waste of energy powering such a TV.
