I just bought the game but totally forgot about Starforce. I haven't opened it up yet though. Does anyone know if Company of Heroes uses Starforce protection?

No, thank god. (I hate the company that invented this and hate Ubisoft for using it so long)

Company of Heroes is one of the best pc titles to come out in a long time. Not only because it is simply amazing, but it's optimized and you don't need a CD to play the game :D

That's awesome news, thanks! I had Starforce on an older system (got it when installing GTR and GT Legends Demo) and it  pretty much crippled my DVDRW. :(

I bought the DVD version of the game, does it make any difference? The reason I ask is because I noticed some fine print in the lower left corner on the back of the box that reads 'Notice: This game contains technology intended to prevent copying that may conflict with some disc and virtual drives'

Company of Heroes has nothing like that. Relic & THQ arn't stupid, so wouldn't use anything like that.
You don't require the DVD in the drive to play it either, which is excellent as it helps to preserve your CD/DVDs. Alot less hassle too.
So get playing... ;)
