Thinking of getting this game, does it support the 360 gamepad? That would be the make or break it for me.

Don't know if it supports it or not, but I finished the game and I think it would be very difficult to play with a gamepad.

You need the keyboard shortcuts for the tense moments.

Also, it's not a click fest, you can leave the mouse button pressed for continuous attack.

From what I understand they are adding controller support in the next patch. The game will eventually show up on the XBox 360 as well.Renevent42

What the?!?! I prefer some games with KB&M some with Gamepad. Action games are better with a gamepad. Period. Other than the story and level building these kinds of games are 95% action.

Game is a horrible pc port, horrible. Coop still does not work for my friend when I was over there.

With all the wonderful indie games coming out lately (Dont Starve, Sanctum2, Rising Storm,etc..) and how well they run and or ported. But this is just a sloppy pc version imo.

Glad I tried it at a friends before putting money down on it. Will buy it when it gets patched up and or a sale.

The coop has been horrible, works for a few minutes then messes up (and no its not my friends computer or internet, his other 500+ steam games work fine online). Check the steam forums there are alot of people having issues with the online and the devs said they are looking to patch it. Singleplayer we didn't really have any issues with but the coop was broken. Besides the multiplayer having alot of issues, my only other problem is with the interface, it could be alot better. I usually don't care about interface, but on this it just feels meh to me.

I do like the art design and controls of the game though, has some potential.

Similar here. I play a lot of strategy games with levels of menus in game, and gamepad on those works just about sometimes, but is hard work. RTS I tried with gamepad and hated it. Football manager on a console is just hard frikking work (or they dumb the game down, remove half the options to suit the control system - the worst kind of kop out). I remember first using a mouse to play Dune 2 on the Amiga. Before that it had been keyboard or my trusty Konix Speedking..now you CAN play Civ with keyboard alone pr with a joypad, but it's hard work, just selecting a menu can take ages

Against that 2d ARPS are better with gamepad, driving games are better with gamepad, platform games are better with gamepad. A platform game with MK control? YEUCH. Driving games using the "up" key to accelerate. "YEUCH"

FPS? Not so sure. With assisted aim or "lock" then you get some fun with gamepad, but I always see that as cheating. Aim roughly and the game "helps" like in Red Dead and GTA etc. That feels a hollow way to play. But without assisted aim I find them impossible.

I remember one of the Unreal games have console and PC gamers on the same servers back in the day. Mouse Keyboard just wiped the floor, even aged 40 odd at the time and with my very poor aging reations I could own every gamepad player with real ease.. so easy it was embarrasing and really didn't seem like a fair game. No satisfaction in beating a "control method" witha better" control method" . If the same guys had used a mouse they woud likely have destroyed me every time.

This game really should have controller support. It's played in 2d (pseudo 3d maybe - but mainly 2d) and would be suited.

Looking at the FFXIV ARR forums where PS3 players are asking for mouse and keyboard support - even those that have never used one before (so they claim).

IN short I would never play a driving game or platformer without a controller. I would MUCH preder most aRPG's to use controller, there are a few other game types where I can go either way.

FPS, most strategy games. 3PS and a few other types - I much prefer mouse and keyboard
