Just a personal opinion, but for gaming the little performance increase isn't worth it. It can be a pain to configure and if one drive goes.....it all goes!

RAID 0 doesn't really do anything. Very small increase in performance, plus decrease in some applications. RAID 0 is actually sort of redundant, since it doesn't provide any of the fault tolerance, which is the whole point of redundant disks.

My load times are much shorter with my stripe then without it. It is a great solution for a cheap fast drive. Keep in mind if one drive goes you lose everything.

...The question was about boot times... and yes, RAID 0 shortens boot/load times. It won't cut the boot time in half, but there will be a difference.
