Hi was just wandering I used to have a 32 inch LCD TV and now have a 40 inch LCD I think some of my games run slightly worse graphically is the screen size the reason? just wandering its not by much.

My tv says its 1920 x 1080 is that a bad resolution? scotty992
No, but you can get that on a 24" LCD monitor. It's my monitor's native resolution. Don't know why you'd want to stretch that over a 40" screen.

It doesn't make a difference it's still the same resolution it would look just as good. Screen size does not weigh onto the quality unless it's a bad TV.

For PC gaming, I can't stand playing on an LCD HDTV that's larger than 30". It just doesn't look and feel right. My tv says its 1920 x 1080 is that a bad resolution?[QUOTE="scotty992"][QUOTE="ionusX"]

lol no 1080p isn't bad.
Yeah, I was gaming on my 55in LED, which was 1080p @ 120hz. I loved it. I had to move everything in to my game room now, so I'm using a HP 20in monitor, which is only 1440X900 max resolution, so I kinda miss 1080 now. So I say 1080 isn't bad at all. I'd like to invest in a high res monitor here shortly. If these bill would ever slow down![QUOTE="Masenkoe"]

Fair enough. I should try out more games on my 42" Panasonic just for curiosity's sake.[QUOTE="Masenkoe"][QUOTE="Elann2008"] For PC gaming, I can't stand playing on an LCD HDTV that's larger than 30". It just doesn't look and feel right.

That's why I said it's only better for SP stuff. I can't do multiplayer well on a TV screen.

For PC gaming, I can't stand playing on an LCD HDTV that's larger than 30". It just doesn't look and feel right.I've used a 32" 1080p panasonic lcd for 2 years now as my main pc monitor with a viewing distance of 3' and works great for me for all uses. The main thing limiting bigger t.vs from pc monitor use is the resolution there still 1080p the screen gets bigger but the resolution stays the same so pixels just get bigger. Once large screen 4K t.vs start becoming affordable large HDTV will be excellent as pc monitors it will be like vertical eyefinity setups in a single display and will also be higher resolution then most of those setups as well(1080px4 vs 1080px3). Only people using 3 2560x1600/1440 monitors will have higher resolution which comes up to around 5.6 times the pixels of 1080p but 8K displays will have those beat.

Yup. that's what I was trying to say but you hit the nail right on the head. Unfortunately for me, I still haven't been able to save up enough money for a nice 30" tv with high resolution. Would be nice when larger hdtv's (32" and up) have higher pixels than 1080p, with an affordable price tag.[QUOTE="godzillavskong"][QUOTE="DJ_Headshot"]If you go on ebay you can get a korean 27" 2560x1440 monitor for $400 or less.Elann2008Hm, not too bad. Reliable? I'd like to possibly go ahead and grab one. It's sad though. I have 6 LCDs in my home and 1 cpu monitor. 55inToshiba LED/55in Toshiba LCD/46in Bravia LCD/40in Phillips LCd/32in Samsung LCD/26in Toshiba LCD, which my wife uses as her cpu monitor in the office. Then my measily 20in HP monitor that is only 1440x900 res. My wife will kill me if I try to bring another display into the house!!! I'll have to say I found it, or it was a gift! lol
