Im thinking of getting this game, but I was wondering if it supported the Xbox 360 controller? Also would my system be able to max it at 1080p?

Specs:

AMD Phenom X4 955 3.7GHz

8GB RAM

Geforce GTX570

Assuming you're buying from Steam because of the sale, the bottom right hand of the purchase page usually has info on controller compatibility. To answer your question though; yes, it is controller enabled. Most people would say not to play Sleeping Dogs with KB+M because of control issues... not sure if these have been fixed. Controller is fine.

Yes, I played it with the controller. Somehow I find it easier fighting using the KB&M though.

Does it support a PS3 controller by any chance? I tried using Motioninjoy to trick it into thinking I was using a 360 controller with my PS3 controller, but everything was all weird and unresponsive.

If you are using motionjoy and having issues with R2/L2 here is a solution. Simply connect your ps3 controller. Run MotionJoy. It will by default select ps3 dualshock. Enable XBOX 360 controller emulator instead. Select xbox options and Xinput 360 controller Everything works like a charm! http://forums.sleepingdogs.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2683 Dunno if you tried all that or not..

It does support the 360 controller and actually plays better with it. The KB&M controls for the camera are very sloppy. The devs obviously just ported the thumbstick camera control over to the PC version without thinking about mice being far more sensitive and responsive. (of course the sloppy controls could have been patched by now, but I havent played it in a while).

Yeah I tried that and it was super iffy. It worked great with GTA IV and Battlefield 3, but for Sleeping Dogs it doesn't work so well, so I gave up and just got used to keyboard and mouse controls. The controls aren't bad, but for a beat em up I vastly prefer a controller, especially with the camera issues and unfortunate use of Right Mouse for every action ever.
