Does Steam has more players on MW2?

i'm thinking in buying MW2 via Steam, i already own MW2 on xbox 360 but much of my friends have this game on pc.

ps: i'm not talking about the game stat from steam, i'm talking about ALL MW2 online players for pc

Well I am not sure about more players... But the community is still well boiling on the PC as well.

well alot still play it, not as many as 360 since many people still play older games like counter strike source, battlefield 2, team fortress 2 etc...

Game stats on Steam for MW2 = all MW2 players. MW2 requires Steam to run, thus everybody uses Steam to play it. Lots of people online, more than enough to get a game esp in North America. As for more players, no idea how many play MW2 on 360 still. Why do you need to have more anyway?nutcrackr

Ya! Thats exactly what i was going to post, there is a lot of misconceptions about MW2 popularity on Steam. VAC is used on all PC versions of the game.

I think like 500k players play on the 360 while 100k play on PC.

That is my guess.

And how many times did you play it? Once? MW2 is maybe the most hacked PC game of all time. It ranges from the less obvious texture hacks to the more obvious wall hacks and aim bots. It's activisions fault though for not including dedicated server support, these guys would be banned in seconds on a dedicated server.

I've put about 32 hours into the game(thats what my steam says.) I know what I'm talking about. Just because you managed to run into hackers on a daily basis does not mean I will. Your terrible experiance does not mean I am having a terrible experiance.

a hacked server in MW2 is a modded server, still hosted locally and not a pirated server, it can increase speed, exp and so by a whole lot (I tried it the free weekend, after 3 kills on that server I was level 70 prestige 10)

There are ways to bypass anticheat.

Yeah I have a legit copy of the game bro. VAC just takes for god damn ever to ban people because it does it in waves, rather than automatically.
