Does the e6300 stock heat sink snap on?

or do you have to take out the mobo for an underneath piece? I bought a barebone and was just wondering?

well my e6600 stock HSF was just a snap on...not sure if u have the same stock heatsink like mine but do u have a picture?

I wouldn't really call it "snapping on", but it does use a pushpin design that doesn't not require any sort of backplate. Given the quality of the pushpins I would probably install the cooler outside the case however, just so you can make sure all the pins are properly seated.
