I found the xbox360 and pc version seem to be rated much higher than the PS3 version, garnering a 96 on metacritic while the ps3 version has a 89. Now, I looked into some reviews and noticed the beef many journalists had with the game were a bad framerate. This is a major negative for me.

So has Valve released any fixes on the game which makes the ps3 version just as good as the other versions(at least in terms of framerate).

This would probably be better suited on the PS3 forum.

Team Fortress 2 is much better on PC. If you haven't bought it yet then consider going pc instead of ps3 on this one.

Wrong board, but yes, they did release a patch. It didn't solve every issue, but it brought the game nearer the 360 version in terms of quality. A 3 year old PC will run most of the Orange Box games better than a PS3 at such low 720p resolutions, though.

Idon't think Valve did the porting to the PS3, and whoever it was just was not as ninja as them so it had problems. That's the difference in the scores, but yes i think it's been all patched up now.

I would also choose PC simply because you will get a lot more content with it as the PS3 version wasn't patched with the DLC I believe.

If you can buy the PC version. If not, the PS3 version isn't bad. It runs great 99.9% of the time, and was patched. Just don't expect any DLC love from Valve.

I would consider getting it for the Pc. The Source engine can run on any computer with the specs of a toaster and it's been patched 100 times for bugs, exploits, and free DLC since it's release.

Gabe Newell said PS3 owners got the stepchild port of The Orange Box here .
