I planning to buy it from STEAM this summer ...surprisingly the price is 30$ :D.... & that only happends when games don't sell whell ..i mean look at Bioshock or The orange Box for example they still have the same price ... so how many servers are there for instance? & what's the average number of players on each ? Pls answer !

Nah barely any one plays. I was at my friends house and there were probably 200 people on the servers maximum, team fortress 2 and call of duty has way more so save your money or buy that.

UT3 not only doesn't have a very good community, it also fragmented what was left of the excellent 2K4 community.

Why did UT3 do as badly? It looks like a pretty solid game :S.

I was in the same boat as you, was going to get UT3 but after finding out how dead it was i thought twice and got TF2 instead. I'm happy with my decision.

That is the exact opposite someone told me on MLG forums. So I bought 99 instead. Damnit.

What they say is true. Not many players that are live. However, I love the "Instant Action" option on the menu. It is bots but it is great. Live multiplayer is way too fast and you hardly ever score. I am only being honest with you. Also, "Instant Action" will last a while. Quite awhile. Lots of maps.

It seems like it was partly due to the number of First Person Shooters released at the same time. Other than that I really have no idea.

Umm.....because it's true?

I didn't like UT3 much (I liked it way more than Crysis :|), but I did buy it and I'm happy with it because it is a good game and many awesome mods will be released for it.

UT2K4 still has a decent number of players, around 2K all the time not under 1.3K.

It has enough players to find a good match, but that's the impression I got from a friend.
