Well, got my stuff in today and i got it all working fine... but one thing that really made me mad is my supposed quality assured processor that they sent me had a single bent pin. Its a simple fix with a lead pencil but the fact that they dont take back processors with bent pins in the first place still made my blood boild as its very easy to snap a pin trying to bend it back. Guess thats the down-fall of oem processoers tho. Its only a 40$ Athlon 64 3800+ but im still going to newegg for my pc parts and only them. Anyone else have anything like this happen from tiger?

On the plus side im really happy with my 8600gt... i get 30-50fps in the ut3 demo with maxed settings and it plays all my games on high. Was the perfect card for my budget and useage.

I used to be a pure tigerdirect user until I learned of Newegg, now it comes down to whichever is cheaper. Also, Newegg is 1 state away meaning no tax and all the shipping is 1 day, no matter what speed I choose...

Quick question also, you guys think id be ok to leave my pc on overnight? Reason i ask is im always worried about somthing going wrong in the first day or so and id hate it if it was somthing i could prevent if i was there. Kinda wanna download games off steam though. Its been on all day and seems fine, my idle cpu temp is 35C-40C and under load it usually is around 45 at most. Should be fine to let it go unattented right?

I always buy from newegg. It's just loads easier to shop there. Their prices are always lower or at least near the lowest price, and their service is really reliable.

Last two times I ordered from newegg, they sent all my items from New Jersey. I live in california. Go newegg... I've ordered from TigerDirect before, with no problems. However, newegg is always first choice due to their customer service.

Tigerdirect always seems a lot more expensive than the things I see on newegg, so I never order from them. But, I know newegg does ship fast. I received a webcam from across the country in a day. Funny, they have so many shipping options and the slowest takes only that long. :P

Tiger Direct has let me down more than once. I try and stay away from them as much as possible.

I did take advantage of their pricing error on the XFX 8800 GTS 512, for $190 before rebate. But I don't think I will buy anything from there again unless it is really in my favor like that was.

I had only one time for areal experience with Tigerdirect but i wouldnt rate is agood, nor bad. But my friend had really bad experiences with them for 3 times in row and he wont buy from the again even if it was the only place to get the item from

All I used to use was tigerdirect.ca, and i don't have any complaints about their service however i think their inventory and prices have definetly slacked off as of late. NCIX.com and canadacomputers.com in canada are much better choices IMO

I never use tigerdirect because they charge me tax. Newegg doesn't and is usually cheaper anyway. I only trust Newegg :)

Never tried it, heard some bad stories, happy with Newegg i don't really try to see if the grass is greener when Newegg owns :D Plus sometimes they ship from a few cities over.
