Hey all, anyone not killed Flemeth but rather told Morigan to leave? I mean can one involve Flemeth in the battle, she's pretty damn strong ally or must you kill flemeth?

You can one of the following

  1. Kill Flemeth
  2. Refuse to complete the quest
  3. Speak with Flemeth, pretend you killed her, give Morrigan the Grimoire. (This has consequences)

i killed flemeth, with good strategy and good armor for the tanks she will be going down in no time, always bring wynne to heal; i had alistair the hero wynne and shale in the party if it helps, but it really depends on your style of gameplay what party to choose against her; shale i use for dmg dealing and i have the hero and alistair as tanks just to make sure, maybe control wynne since healing is not always accurate for the AI thats what i did at least; use group heal whenever you can!

Morrigan specifically asks you to do it, cause she's afraid to get near Flemeth.

to fight Flemeth in dragon form, you cannot have Morrigan in the party.

whether this fight is a good one depends on when you get to her. my first playthrough I took her out with an lvl 11-12 party on hard, and it was very intense and fun.

as for the OP's question; for a gameplay point of view, it's not balanced with Flemeth either as party NPC or ally. speaking of the story, Flemeth has some complicated relationship with Morrigan, and all her secrets, I feel that she wouldn't be interested in following PC's lead or giving personal aids.

btw, I don't see any apparent consequences between killing and sparing Flemeth.

I suggest you do this around 15+. This was undoubtedly the hardest fight in all of DA:O. Mages are good with her, keep distance and use cone of cold to stop her at her tracks. Although it depends on your current party.

I just used Leiliana to attack her with Bows at a distance, Yvnne to heal and attack from a distance, Alistair, Ogren or Sten to keep Flemeths attention and kept myself to her sides so I didn't get much damage landed on me. And I tend to go at her around level 11-14.

I love Morrigan! I wouldnt cheat on her! oh baby! I knew if I killed her mother she`d make love to me :D

The dragon in the mountain top is much harder than flemeth, I spent around 15 minuts fighting the first, while I killed flemeth in around 5 minuts (Naturally after getting the dragon armour mad eout of the first dragon skin Ive sluaghterd it made my characters immune to the dragon`s fire attack + increasing my waarriors (Sten and Alistar) sphysical resistence in this fight helped standing against the dragon.

Good game, Just finished it yesterday, however.. the story ends when you finish the game, yoiu cant wonder around the map and make other quests (like Oblivion) unless you pay to get points which I find ridicules, Ive already payed to get the game, No? why should I pay more? lame.

Enchantment? ENCHANTMENT! :D

Actually killing Flemeth although it takes long it a bit easy. Just use 3 archers and 1 mage and position them away from the dragon and start shooting the dragon will focus on only one person and will drag him close him every once in a while while the others will face no such problem and will continue shooting at the dragon Just make sure you have about 20-25 health potions, and have 40 or more ice arrows since it seems those make the most damage to the dragon

just took her out on nightmare, with PC rogue, Sten, Oghren and Wynne, all lvl14. well, two-handed warriors are best dragon slayers, indomitable activated and you only need several huge swings that connect. Sten with Yusaris is just lethal. Wynne is as valuable, coc, stonefist and healing and such. however, though my rogue stole the kill with his sneaky backstab:P

I hardly relyed on rogue in the game, only when I wanted to steal everyone in evey city, but didnt rely so much on rogues in combat, I preferd the trio Morrigan-Sten-Alistar most of the time.
