Probably Game Of All Time :P but yeah can't wait for it, I'm sure it won't disappoint and it will be beyond expectations.
Was it a Dragon Age review I read somewhere that wrote the following : "Best game this decade"?
Can't wait to put my hands on it!
Anticipating the other 2 mega-titles from Bioware eagerly.
No I mean GOAT...Greatest of all time.
Major_9000

From the reviews I've seen it's 40hrs if you rush through everything and 80hrs if you take your time exploring/doing side quests etc, definitely not short at all. Their obviously going to be adding a lot of DLC since 2 are available right now.... Once the user made modules start flowing in it's going to be insane. The only thing really letting DA:O down a bit is the graphics. If it had Mass Effect-quality graphics in addition to all of the rest, it could very well be a goat.F1_2004I think the graphics are great. Obviously they're not the best graphics out there, but it doesn't feel even close to outdated or anything.
what about the combat guys, i cant stand good games with boring combat.GazaAliIf you've ever played a DnD game like Neverwinter Nights the combat should feel very familiar. The tactics menu is pretty deep so you don't have to worry about pausing the game and picking the action for everybody in your party. Overall the combat doesn't offer anything really ground-breaking, but that's not a bad thing.

Can't realy at this point say this or that but I have to say it will not be the best game ever. and I don't even know what is realy. I even think that there shouldn't be the best realy. But that's me. For one I know that I am gonna play this game a lot. And if it's anything like other games they have made I think it will be solid and realy REALY good game. Can't wait to play it.

I think the point he's getting at is that there is no way that he could of played the entire game by now and one must assume that the TC just a fanboy reacting to all the high review scores. At least that's my take away.I've been playing this game for over three hours straight. It is a damn good rpg. So far, I wouldn't call it the best of all time...but it's definitely well made. No crashes. No bugs. Great voice acting. High quality cut scenes. Easy to use menus and controls. Good lore to read. It's exactly what it claims to be so far...basically, a crpg with a huge face lift.
Personally, I prefer the combat of Risen for comparison to a new rpg game, but this isn't bad for what it is. It's a party-based rpg...if you like Baldur's Gate, NWN, Icewind Dale, KotoR style combat, then you will like this. It is extremely easy on normal, just to make note. I'm playing as a mage and I'm still in the mage's convent. If you're experienced in playing rpgs, you may want to consider raising the difficulty level. I'm definitely considering it. There are two difficulty levels above "normal".
The only thing really letting DA:O down a bit is the graphics. If it had Mass Effect-quality graphics in addition to all of the rest, it could very well be a goat.F1_2004it has really good graphics, in mass effect you see barely anything happening on screen... this game is beautiful. Lots of nice effects, nice draw distance, lots going on at once, it really is a big huge difference in my book.
do you now, maybe people actually liked mass effect...I predict this game to be more overrated than Mass Effect.

you're correct. though I don't know whether TC is a fanboy. I just have to decide whether I should take his/her claim seriously, depends on whether he/she actually finished or at least went through majority of the main storyline.

Since the game was just released today and the pirated version was leaked yesterday, I would say the chances are slim. I made a judgement call, maybe I'm wrong. The only thing really letting DA:O down a bit is the graphics. Looks great on my PC: got resources to spare - Quad-Core CPU, 64-bit OS, 8 GB RAM, 9-Series nVidia GPU. Kevin Van Ord wrote the PC Version wins on graphics and animation hands-down.:)

It runs very smoothly too, on highest settings.
All I can say is that Dragon Age : Origins is one of my favorite singleplayer games off all time. It's immesive, brutal, dark, engrossing and the plot is very well written. I haven't had this much fun since Fallout 3 was released (Say what you want about that game, I was a newcomer to the series and 3 was just a brilliant take on it)
Hmm, well we dont know much about it apart that the pc version has a riddicusly high score. I am just saying... just saying, dont you think you guys are taking the game's quality for granted? It seems to cheesy for me. So i am gonna wait for someone to actually play the game for few hours.dakan45Riddicusly high score for the PC?Surely if the console version had the highest score you wouldn´t say the same.
Methinks you made a mistake...then again,it´s you,so...

"Pc has higher standards" Dragon age graphics are kinda dated for pc standards. Also the consoles have lower standards and usually games are rated with high scores for no reason like Halo ODST but whatever the case may be i find kinda weird and cheesy that the reviewer (Kevin V) who usually rates games lower than most cirtics has given such a high score. Esepcially if you consider the ign 8.4 rating. It looks cheesy to me. There is no way a game like that could get a 9.5.[QUOTE="Arach666"]Riddicusly high score for the PC?Surely if the console version had the highest score you wouldn´t say the same.[QUOTE="dakan45"]Hmm, well we dont know much about it apart that the pc version has a riddicusly high score. Because? and don't give me the graphics excuse, the game is superb and the graphics are good enough. Diablo is one of the highest rated games of all time, does that mean it has awesome graphics even for its time? no. Stop being tied to graphics and polish, great games don't always come with these two "features", best games usually "don't" come with them.[QUOTE="dakan45"][QUOTE="Arach666"] Riddicusly high score for the PC?Surely if the console version had the highest score you wouldn´t say the same."Pc has higher standards" Dragon age graphics are kinda dated for pc standards. Well most high rated games got graphics, the review is coming from someone who is usually rating lower. I just cant believe it got a 9.5 on gs by that specific reviewer and in the other sites it didnt. Gs used to hold back the 9.5s but now they are given like cake. For all those reasons i cant believe its that good. It seems weird to me.

When the majority of players can't run your game on full settings/resolution and get 50+ FPS the game's graphics can't be dated.

:D...you cant be serious? Ever heard of bad optimazation?
No? Well its rulling this on this Gen.

I haven't seen anything that would indicate DA: O being poorly optimized. I'm not saying it isn't but the game has only been out a day - I don't know how you can make that claim so quickly. Do you have any proof to back up your claim?
